Job Description
The Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP) assesses emergency scenes and patients, provides advanced life support (ALS) care, administers medications, airway adjuncts, electrical therapy, and transports patients between emergency scenes and healthcare facilities. The ACP may lead ALS crews during emergency responses and patient transport, maintain EMS vehicles and equipment, and ensure operational readiness. The role requires working in challenging environments including extreme weather, remote locations, hazardous scenes, exposure to bodily fluids, and physically demanding situations involving patient lifting, carrying, transfers, and prolonged awkward positions.
