Job Description
Ponoka Hospital and Care Centre is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the Day Surgery/Endoscopy/Operating Room team. The role supports preoperative preparation, patient education, procedural support, recovery care and discharge planning. The LPN works collaboratively with surgeons, physicians, anesthesiologists, nurses and allied health professionals to provide safe, efficient and patient-centered care. May provide support to inpatient unit and Emergency Department during workload increases or temporary OR closures. Responsibilities include utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making while following standards, policies and procedures.
