Job Description
Reporting to the Executive Director of Surgery, the Patient Care Manager (PCM) is responsible for daily operations and strategic leadership of Unit 83 Colorectal/General Surgery, Unit 84 Gynecology/Plastics/Ophthalmology Surgery, Surgical Inpatient Float Pool, and NSWOC (Nurse Specialized in Wound, Ostomy, and Continence) services at Rockyview General Hospital. Responsibilities include strategic planning, budget management, resource allocation, staff recruitment and performance management, establishing standards of practice, quality improvement, patient safety initiatives, change management, and collaboration with medical leaders and stakeholders to improve patient outcomes and experience. The PCM provides operational and strategic accountability while promoting a healthy work environment and effective healthcare delivery.
