Job Description
As a Primary Care Paramedic (PCP), provides emergency medical care by assessing emergency scenes and patients, transporting ill or injured patients, operating ambulances and other transport vehicles, administering minor medications, providing basic life support airway management, semi-automated defibrillation, and leading BLS crews during patient care. Responsible for maintaining ambulances and equipment according to standards. Role requires working in varied environments including remote locations and all weather conditions, exposure to hazardous scenes and bodily fluids, and ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting and carrying patients and equipment. Position based out of Slave Lake Hub supporting Slave Lake, High Prairie, Swan Hills, and Wabasca sites.
