Job Description
Under the direction of the Recreation Therapist and supervision of the Manager, the Therapy Aide supports recreation activities that enrich residents' lives in Supportive Living. Provides individual and group activities based on resident needs, assists with community outings, drives Handibus when required, supports residents with preparation and personal care during outings, and collaborates with staff, families and volunteers. Works independently and within an interdisciplinary team to support rehabilitation and healthy living programs. Duties include preparing therapy interventions, administrative tasks, equipment inventory, client support, ADL/IADL assistance and promoting resident independence under therapist guidance.
